This kids anatomy is so troublesome I needed fucking pose sketches for this

I probably need to duplicate those three frames again once I finish the proper sketch of the third one, To continue publishing, please remove it or upload a different image. Oops! On the bright side-while there's still some stuff I gotta work on next time I get the chance, it looks pretty nice :D I just spent 3½ hours working on an animation meme and only did the walk cycle of the begining bit(tho tbh I took a break to eat which took like a 16 minute video & the Dan & Phil Games video that was poster earlier cuz the bread on my dandwich had sesame(?) seeds on it that it had spent time picking off) but the character I'm using for the meme is tall and has long legs & arms so I had to figure out how to make that work how I needed it to work and stuff. It's a russian meme but it's really good imo and the song the memes creator did is great. Of course, if you don't have them as an end goal at all, the results will be too difficult to get into tiles, so that's why having a grid guideline is important.↑ ↑↑The original animation meme I'm doing my own version of is the video above. If you start with tiles in mind your end result will be too stiff, derivative, and things will start to clash. Then you can break it down into tiles, figuring out how to get the repeats working, the details right and so on with tiling in mind. Keep it rough of course, but mockups are great for getting mood and cohesion right.

Use whatever art program you like (if you're going to do pixel art, I highly recommend Pyxel Edit), make sure the grid guides are set to 48x48 and then draw a fake screenshot of what you want in the end. Then we know what information you're missing and can help guide you through a single hurdle at a time instead of an indefinite number of them all at once. It's a lot easier to explain this stuff if you start by trying to make something and then asking for help when you hit a wall.
